My daughter’s best friend has Type 1 Diabetes, and through their friendship (and mine with her mom), I know how important diabetes awareness and research is, so I’m happy to partner with the American Diabetes Association and the Washington Redskins to offer free MVP wristband tickets to Game On, Greater Washington – a fun family festival at FedExField this weekend. The adventure-filled day is designed to raise funds for diabetes education, programs, research and advocacy.
GOGW will be held this Saturday, Oct. 22, and the fitness and diabetes awareness event features fitness-themed activities for all ages, including ziplining across the stadium, fun runs and walks, biking and more. Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to meet their favorite Redskins players and kids can also enjoy carnival-themed games at Kids’ Zone. Entrance to the festival is free and includes access to the Kids’ Zone, a Health and Wellness Expo, the Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes and live musical performances, with other activities starting at just $5 (with the exception of the zipline and extreme obstacle course, which are $20), all for a great cause.
The giveaway is four (4) MVP Wristband tickets (total $120 value), which will give them unlimited access to several activities at the festival, including a 32 foot rock climbing wall; a Radical Run course; the Extreme Airline; and games such as Big Baller, Hippo Chow Down and Hamster Ball Track.
