If your family is like ours, you didn’t win the White House Easter Egg Roll lottery. The disappointment is now at a 7-year streak, but hey, that’s okay. There are definitely other Easter Egg hunts around the area to keep you entertained this holiday weekend. Here are three (one in DC, one in Md., and one in Va.) unique Easter Egg Hunts for you to consider if you’re sticking around this weekend.

MARYLAND:

Easter Egg Hunt

Terrapin Adventures is hosting two “Eggcellent Adventures,” an egg hunt, bunny petting zoo, and time to explore the Terrapin Explorer Course. The events will be held April 3 & 4, 2015  at  11:15 AM & 3:15 PM (Cost is $35/child). Kids ages 5-10 will decorate their own egg cartons, pet live adorable bunnies, hunt for candy filled eggs, dress up in climbing gear then soar to new heights for one hour on our Terrapin Explorer Course designed specifically for ages 5-9.

The Terrapin Explorer Ropes Course has 22 different fun elements that children can walk, balance, zip, and crawl through. It includes two zip lines, two levels, 20 challenging elements and, a 20 ft. high rock wall. A portion of each ticket will be donated to a local Rabbit Shelter.

VIRGINIA:

Leesburg Animal Park’s 16th Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for thousands of candy and toy filled eggs. If you’re really lucky, you will find the special golden egg and win a special Easter prize.The Easter Bunny will be out at 1:00 PM and the Egg Hunt starts promptly at 2:00 PM.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY! There will be a line to get in around the time of the hunt. The eggs go fast, so don’t be late! The kids will be  separated by age group. (Cost is $9.95 per kid ages 12 & under and $11.95 per adult ages 13+).

WASHINGTON D.C.:

Madame Tussauds 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt is a timed, ticketed event (tomorrow) Saturday April 4. The Museum still has tickets available for the following session times — 7:30 AM | 8:00 AM | 8:30 AM |9:00 AM — and the event includes the following: Tons of eggs will be hidden throughout our Presidents Gallery. Once children have collected the empty eggs, they can then trade them in at the end of the hunt for an Easter gift bag full of fun goodies (1 per child).

Admission is $25 for adults (13 and older) and free for children (12 and under). Price of admission will include FULL access to Madame Tussauds Washington, D.C., an Easter egg hunt through the Presidents Gallery, 1 gift bag per child, a meet & greet with the Easter Bunny, access to an on site petting zoo, face painting and Easter crafts! All children must be accompanied by an adult and there is a maximum limit of 2 children for every 1 adult.
