This Sunday, I am part of the awesome cast of Listen to Your Mother. Listen to Your Mother is a show, but it is unlike any other show you have seen. 12 DC area writers will read essays they have written about the joys and heartache of motherhood. It is the brainchild of Ann Imig, and there are shows all across the country.
The DC area Listen To Your Mother is directed by The DC Moms very own Stephanie Stearns Dulli and produced by Kate Hood. Cast members range from a man, yes a man, who used to be a Hollywood comedy writer, to veteran and newbie bloggers, to me, yes, me. The show will make you laugh, and cry, and think of your mom in a whole new light.
Every mother has a story. This show gives them a place to tell it. You, yes you, should come.
Tickets are available here. The show is 2 p.m., April 28, at the Synetic Theater. A portion of ticket sales goes to Rachael’s Women’s Center.
Jodi blogs at Jodifur about life, motherhood, working, and shoes. Mostly shoes.
