I grew up laughing at Lucille Ball in reruns of the hit television show “I Love Lucy”. And now, I’m planning to go see the ultimate rerun – a staged version of the show!
This summer, Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel will be performing at the Warner Theater (513 13th Street NW) in a remake of two episodes from the famous show. Members of the audience will be transported back in time to be a member of a 1952 studio audience, watching the filming of two hilarious and familiar episodes of the show – complete with beautifully harmonized commercials!
During the show, a charming host will entertain and enlighten you to the behind-the-scenes filming process, for that funny box in your living room – the television!
The show run June 1 – 14 (no shows on Monday) and tickets are being sold through LiveNation.
Reserved tickets are $75.00, $60.00 and $40.00 and are on sale now at Livenation.com. All tickets subject to applicable service charges and fees. Dates and times subject to change without notice. For groups of 20 or more, call the Warner Theatre Box Office at 202.783.4000.
If you’d like to win a pair of tickets to the June 4 show, simply leave a comment on this post by Friday, April 12, letting us know your favorite I Love Lucy memory.
When she’s not trying to turn grapes into wine by stomping her feet ala Lucy, Elaine writes about her children growing up at www.ConnorAndHelen.blogspot.com.
Disclosure: TheDCMoms.com received two pairs of tickets in exchange for notifying readers of the show – one pair for the writers, one to be given away to the readers.
