Today is the first anniversary of our dear friend Susan Niebur’s death. She wasn’t just a fellow DC Mom or blogger; she was an inspiration, a force of nature, a woman who changed each of our lives — as writers, as mothers, as friends. I’ll never forget receiving the call that Susan had passed away. It was — and still is — difficult to conceive of a world without Susan.
But like all people who are truly cherished, Susan lives on in all who had the pleasure and the privilege of knowing and loving her. She lives on in the bright smiles of her two young sons and in the devotion of her amazing husband Curt (aka “WhyDaddy”). Today, we at the DC Moms challenge you to do as Curt asked in his farewell post on her blog Toddler Planet: “Please consider furthering Susan’s legacy through a contribution to theInflammatory Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Or please choose to make a difference somewhere, anywhere, to anyone.”
Help us honor Susan’s memory by donating to the organization that meant so much to her and delighting in what made her happy — your children, your spouse, your forever friends.
Please join bloggers throughout the web in honoring Susan Niebur’s life and contributions with a post, and please add your link below.
