Last weekend my family and I saw The Jimmies at Wolf  Trap’s Theater in the Woods.  Theater in The Woods is Wolf Trap’s outdoor theater for children. The shows range from children’s performers and puppet shows to dance, and mini plays.

It was an incredibly hot day, but the forest-like setting kept us cool.  The show was about an hour, perfect for a young child’s attention span.  We danced and sang along to the Jimmies’ fun, high-energy show.  It was a super enjoyable way to spend a summer morning.

One of the things I love about Wolf Trap is that they let you bring in food, so after the show we ate the picnic I had packed and took a hike around the grounds. My son got the Jimmies’ autograph on a CD we bought, and he has been listening to it nonstop.

The full Theater In The Woods schedule is here.  Tickets are $10.

*I was not compensated for this post but Wolf Trap provided me with two complimentary tickets for the show.  I purchased a third ticket and a CD for my son.  All opinions are my own.
