I am a native Washingtonian, so the 9:30 club holds long held memories for me. I have been to hundreds of concerts there, but sadly, not in years. I was thrilled when the opportunity arose for me to see a show and write about it.
Big Head Todd and the Monsters is one of my husbands all time favorite bands ever. And they are playing at the 9:30 club this Friday night, Friday, January 27th. And we are thrilled to be able to get a sitter and make a date night out of it. Date night! Remember those?
We are planning to grab dinner before at another DC institution, Ben’s chili bowl, which just expanded and even has a place to grab drinks next door at a bar and restaurant aptly called Next Door.
My husband is crazy excited, as I mentioned this is one of his favorite bands, and he says they are great live. Me, I’m excited for a night out at one of my old haunts. I literally cannot remember the last time I have been to a concert. It was definitely before my child was born. He is going to be 7 in a few months. I need to get out more.
