As a New York transplant, one of the places I missed deeply when I moved to D.C. was the flagship Macy’s on 34th Street. I would go often, not just to shop in the world’s largest store, but also to eat and to attend various events throughout the year. Since moving to D.C. ‘burbs, I’ve been to several different Macy’s, and the Westfield Montgomery Macy’s is the one I find myself visiting the most. Did you know they also host regular events for the public? Next week, the Macy’s Culinary Council — a group of acclaimed chefs helping to spread the word about gourmet recipes through recipes, tips, and more — is hosting a special event with one of its celebrity chefs, Marc Forgione.
As someone who loves to eat and is still learning to cook (my husband currently does the majority of the cooking), I am excited to attend and see what expert tricks and tips Chef Forgione can teach this newbie cook. Already a domestic gourmet chef? Then you’ll have a chance to dine with Forgione, ask him questions, and get his new cookbook signed.
This post is sponsored by Macy’s Culinary Council; however, all thoughts and opinions
expressed are my own.
Summer’s best enjoyed by eating great food with good company, so join Macy’s Culinary Council Chef Marc Forgione when he kicks the season off with a delectable, private dinner party. Dine with one of the best chefs in business as he shares stories from the kitchen – you might even pick up a recipe or two!

He was recognized with a glowing two-star review in the New York Times and received a Michelin star consecutively three years in a row! As Marc Forgione puts it, “Classic American food never tasted so good.”
