3 Ways to Bring in Spring

I don’t mean to sound like a pansy (Why do we have this saying?  Those flowers are some hardy little suckers!) but I’m pretty sure the lion in March is still roaring and the lamb is quaking in some corner somewhere not even close to coming out.  It’s Spring.  Yet, we had a snow day this week and I’m still going to tell you about my favorite things for this season.

Spring totes

1.  The Bright Tote – Egads! I am in love with this whole idea.  Nothing is more cheery to me than finding a brightly colored bag to tote around on my arm.  Satchel, over the shoulder or whatever style you desire, if there is one bit of advice I can tell you this season it it is get a bold bag.  Hot pink, a bliss-inducing turquoise, a cheerful sunbeam yellow, ripe orange or passionate purple you cannot go wrong.  Plus, you can find them anywhere and in any price range.

black & white combo

2.  Black & White– The simplicity is stunning.  This high contrast trend is everywhere.  It is elegant for spring and hot for summer.  Throw on a simple black top with a pair of white bermuda shorts and you only have to accessorize to look just right.  Accessories from shoes to purses and jewelery are popping up in this color combination and they work well with touches of pink, yellow and cobalt blue.

spring nails

3. Pastel Nails–  I’m not talking about Easter egg colors either.  Think pale pastels with a creaminess to them like butterLondon’s ‘Fiver’ and the host of Essie shades that range from soft yellow to lilac.  It is like spring right there on the tip of your hand and it is gorgeous.

Who is ready to usher in Spring now?  My yellow purse and I are totally game!
